Ackermans, Home Comforts & The Baby Company
Ackermans is a broad appeal department store offering a range of contemporary and fashionable outerwear and footwear for the whole family, including textiles, homeware, cellular and financial services. ID&B was commissioned to develop identities & visual branding systems for Ackermans, Home Comforts (homeware) and The Baby Company (baby care).
The identity needed to reflect new values and be accessible to a wider audience without losing intrinsic equity and familiar characteristics. The visual branding system involved the design of an expandable grid system for the point of sale, seasonal and promotional in-store campaigns for all three retail brands.

ID&B was invited to design a delegate conference bag for the popular Cape Town-based internationally acclaimed design conference.
The Design Indaba has raised the profile and kudos of South African design while creating a platform prompting discussions on design-related issues between local and international designers. ID&B conceptualized and designed the conference bag as part of a larger campaign to stimulate these discussions and debates.

The brainchild of internationally acclaimed South African entrepreneur Mark Shuttleworth, this youth-focused brand of The Shuttleworth Foundation aims to make science, technology, entrepreneurship & maths cool.
The aim, and the result, of the rebranding exercise was an energized, vibrant and accessible brand that raised the profile of Hip2b2, connecting brand to audience and creating an entirely new platform for South African youth.

Cape Town Routes Unlimited promotes Cape Town and the Western Cape as a premier leisure, events and business tourism destination.
CTRU actively markets Cape Town and the Western Cape as a brand which promotes sustainable growth, transformation and pride; and provides strategic direction and marketing support to the province’s tourism industry.
With five focus areas - leisure tourism, events, conferencing and incentives, visitor services and product development, CTRU has successfully built a brand which has already seen Cape Town become the number one long-haul destination in the world and the top convention destination in Africa.
